Bernie Chiaravalle | STANDING IN THE SHADOWS

STANDING IN THE SHADOWS is the 17th solo album release from singer songwriter Bernie Chiaravalle (originally from Marin County, CA). It contains 12 new songs all written and produced by Chiaravalle with him handling all the instruments and vocals, with the exception of a guest vocal performance by Australian singer/artist Angus Gill. Angus has a had string of number one hits in Australia and eventually moved to Nashville last year where he and Bernie met and started writing and recording together. They’ve written and recorded about 20 songs now and plan to release a duet album before too long.

Chiaravalle wrote most of these songs over the past year except for the title track which he’s been developing for some time. These songs are all very personal and have deep meaning to him. It could be his most vulnerable piece of work to date.

It was recorded in his home studio in Franklin, Tennessee. Since his friend and band partner Michael McDonald has reunited with The Doobie Brothers these days, Bernie has immersed himself in songwriting and production and he loves it. The studio is his home! Besides playing with Michael for 33 years he has produced and co-written songs with Michael, Amy Holland, John Goodwin, Midtones, Jon Vezner, Bill Lloyd, Chazz Frichtel and many more.
