IMC Album Pick of the Year Selected by IMC Boca Raton corresponde nt Kim Reilly

I have chosen "Middle Ground" by Bernie Chiaravalle as my Album of the Year for 2025. As one of my favorite artists and songwriters, it's hard for me to overlook anything that Bernie creates. "Middle Ground" resonates deeply with the times we are living in and is highly relevant to our everyday lives. The title track, "Middle Ground," encapsulates the main message, while "A Loss For Words" evokes strong emotions and brings a tear to my eye. Each track carries its own emotion through Bernie's writing while continuing to showcase the musicianship and craft that he has honed over the years.

Bernie Chiaravalle has shared that he was inspired to write several songs over the past few years due to the events unfolding in our country. He selected these eight songs because they align with his feelings about the growing division in society, which social media and cable news have amplified. His hope is that listeners will find comfort in the music and remember that "You're Not Alone."

The album was produced and mixed by Bernie Chiaravalle, who contributed vocals, guitars, bass, ukulele, drums, and keyboards. Peter Penhallow added a Farfisa organ on the track "These Days (Anything Goes)."

Vezner, Chiaravalle & Lloyd to play The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville on June 13...

I'm very excited to be playing with Jon Vezner & Bill Lloyd at The Bluebird Cafe on June 13 at 9pm! The three of us have formed a trio called Vezner, Chiaravalle & Lloyd. We'll join together to play songs from each other.

Jon Vezner was honored with a Grammy for “Best Country Song” and the Nashville Songwriters Association “Song of the Year” in 1990, for “Where’ve You Been”, the true story of Vezner’s grandparents, co-written with Don Henry, and recorded by Kathy Mattea. “Where’ve You Been” was also honored as “Song of the Year” by the Country Music Association (CMA) and the Academy of Country Music (ACM).

Bill Lloyd is a Nashville-based award winning songwriter, Grammy nominated recording artist, musician and producer who is most often remembered as half of the late ‘80’s RCA country-rock duo, Foster and Lloyd.

I'm proud to release my version of "Miracle River". I wrote this with Amy Holland McDonald and John Goodwin and it originally appeared on Amy's The Journey To Miracle River album that I produced in 2008.
